CONVERTERS FOR ELECTRIC DRIVE OF VOLTAGE CLASS 0.4 kV

Frequency converters of type Ï× “ÎÌÅÃÀ” for induction electric drives

Serie Ï× “ÎÌÅÃÀ” is designed for frequency-controlled low-voltage induction electric drives of pumps, compressors, fans, blowers, smoke exhausters, conveyers, centrifuges, breaker equipment and many other mechanisms.

Serie Ï× “ÎÌÅÃÀ” includes 14 converters of different powers from 5.5 till 315 kW. Power part is realized at the modern IGBT – and diode-and-thyristors modules, manufactured by OJSC “ELECTROVYPRYAMITEL”.

BASIC CHARACTERISTIC OF Ï× “ÎÌÅÃÀ”

Supplying mains 3õ380Â, +10%, -15%, 50 Ãö;
Output voltage 3õ(0 ... 380) Â, + 2%; 
Output frequency 0,5 … 50 Ãö, + 0,1%, according to customer requirement, maximum output frequency may be increased till 200 Hz;
Overload current 125% during 300 sec. at time of averaging 10 min.;
Efficiency not less than 0.97 at the rated current;
Coefficient of mains power not less than 0.95;
Coefficient of output currents harmonics not over than 5 % at output frequency 50 Hz.

All the serie Ï× “ÎÌÅÃÀ” converters are built at united ideologie and provides electric drives operation in the several modes:

  • manual control of output frequency with built-in or remote-control-station;
  • smooth acceleration of electric engine with prescribed rate;
  • acceleration at limiting (prescribed) values of electric engine phase current;
  • smooth braking of electric engine;
  • electric engine braking at limiting (prescribed) voltage value in the d.c. element;
  • converter self-actuation mode after supply faults;
  • automatics upkeep mode of technical parameter value (pressure, temperature, level etc. );
  • compensation mode of sliding oscillation at electric engine operation on the mechanism with a great moment of inertia;
  • automatics parameter control mode in accordance with prescribed parameter change depending on day time (descreteness 1 min.)
  • operation in the mode of attenuated magnetical field at electric engine rotation speeds, over than rated one;
  • mode of pumps group service;
  • operation under control on the channel RS-232 or RS-485;
  • operation at electric drive with a great start moment;
  • reverse.

Control system is equal for all converter versions of the given serie, is realized on the modern element base and presents rather wide possibilities to the user. There are mains indicators, converter state - READY, OPERATION, FAILURE, rotation direction of electric engine at the local control desk.
Many other processor parameters (output voltages, current, frequency, power, time, energy for definit period, operating time in hours, parameters value etc.) may be lead out on the bylined liquid crystalline indicator “on the go”.
In the case of failure switch off or at mains voltage one, information on switch off type and time is recorded into energy-independing memory and may be provided in any moment (are fixed the last 40 switches off).
At converter operation, user may control frequency from local or distant desk, reverse electric engine, switch on mode of “push”.

Multiple protection functions are realized in the system, among them:

  • from increasing prescribed mains voltage;
  • from decreasing mains voltage lower, than prescribed level;
  • from functioning distruction of microprocessor core;
  • from increasing voltage in the d.c. element;
  • áëîêîì âíåøíåãî òîðìîçíîãî ðåçèñòîðà.
  • from increasing current in each of the IGBT-modules;
  • from short circuit in the load;
  • from increasing current in the d.c. element;
  • from increasing temperature IGBT-module cooler;
  • time-and-current protection

According to customer requirement, frequency converters may be completed by:

  • remote-control-station;
  • technological parameter transducer (pressure, temperature, level, rate etc.);
  • commutative and protective equipment at operation for electric engine group;
  • auxiliary output filters;
  • block of external braking resistor.

DESIGN AND COOLING

Frequency converters versions with power till 22 kV represents cabinets to the wall, others are ones on the floor of one-sided service, protection degree IP21, siting category ÓÕË-4. Forced cooling.
